Board members and executive officers, down to VP’s and managers have personal liability along with their firm’s corporate liability.  Negligent or erroneous acts, or even an economic downturn or bad round of venture capital can spell big trouble.

General Liability and Umbrella policies are commonplace and protect against many legal hassles, but fail to cover real business risks such as directors and officers, employment practices, and professional liability.

Today lawsuits alleging corporate impropriety and executive irresponsibility are a constant threat and defense costs alone can drain both individual and company resources.  Get answers to the following questions:

  • As a company officer or board member, are my personal assets and those of my spouse and estate at risk? Even if I sit on a nonprofit board?
  • What if my limited partners’ bring suit to recover their investment?
  • We recently downsized and are contemplating additional reductions. What are the risks?
  • What if we are “cyber attacked” and our IP and clients’ privacy is compromised?
  • My firm offers consulting services. Can I be sued for failing to perform my duties?

Emerge from this presentation knowing concrete steps you can take to limit your personal liability.  Identify questions to ask principals at your organization to determine how much exposure you might have.  Learn strategies to obtain essential business insurance protection.
